BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Meatballs are officially ready for adoption in Bloomfield.

On Tuesday, the Bloomfield Animal Shelter announced that a pair of dogs lovingly dubbed “the Meatballs” are now seeking forever homes. But there’s one catch… the bonded pair need to go to the same family.

“That special adopter may be hard to find, but we won’t dare split them up,” the shelter wrote online. “They walk together, play together, even go potty at the same time! We aren’t sure if they’re related or just close pals, but it is clear that they LOVE each other and wouldn’t do well split up.”

The dogs were presumably abandoned, and were found in the Watsessing Dog Park last month, the shelter stated.

According to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, the Meatballs are about 3-years-old and 50 to 60 pounds each. They appear to be house trained and “love everyone they meet.” While they don’t seem to mind other dogs, they don’t appear to like cats.
