'Music at the Mansion' Comes to Oakside Bloomfield Cultural Center

Adam Shapiro, Deborah Tranelli and Liz McKendry are among the performers at the summer music series.

From Broadway to prime-time television, the Bloomfield Cultural Center has a series of musical acts lined up to delight audiences this summer.

NiCori Studios and Productions and the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center recently announced the acclaimed monthly concert series "Music at the Mansion" is coming to its stages and will begin July 27 at 3 p.m.

The event features performances from Liz McKendry, Adam Shapiro and Deborah Tranelli, with the Young Musician Moment performance featuring the cast of the  Gas Lamp of Performing Arts' "Drowsy Chaperon."A

McKendry is from Buffalo, New York and has been in a number of off-Broadway productions and regional TV, as well as credits in "The 27th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition" at the Minskoff Theater on Broadway.

Shapiro has made appearances in the Emmy-nominated "The Normal Heart" on HBO as well as "30 Rock." He is an award-winning cabaret artist who also has credits in productions such as "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Footloose" and "Gimpel Tam."

Tranelli is a singer, actress and dancer who has been in countless commercials and is best known for her 11-season role as Phyllis in the show "Dallas." Tranelli has performed in more than 50 off-Broadway and regional shows in her career.

Tickets are available at the door at the center, located at  240 Belleville Avenue, for $10. Light refreshments will be provided.
