School Nurse From Bloomfield Gets Her 2nd Dose Of COVID Vaccine

A Bloomfield resident who works as a nurse at the Essex County School of Technology in West Caldwell got her follow-up shot.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A nurse from Bloomfield who works at the Essex County School of Technology in West Caldwell is now among a growing list of people who have gotten their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

On Saturday, Bonnie Rogers of Bloomfield rolled up her sleeve for a second shot of the Moderna vaccine at the Essex County Vaccination Center at Essex County College in Newark.

The center is one of five in the county that are offering COVID-19 vaccinations to qualifying residents. Read More: How, Where To Get COVID Vaccine In Essex County

Rogers was among the first health care professionals to receive their first dose of the vaccine when Essex County opened its vaccination centers in December.

Essex County has administered more than 25,000 doses at its five vaccination sites within 20 days, officials reported last weekend.
