Stop & Shop Delivers Valentines to Boys & Girls Club
Stop & Shop Makes Valentine's Day Special for Children at the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic

Stop & Shop managers from the supermarket’s two Clifton stores delivered Valentines to 250 youngsters at the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic. The children also received toys shaped like fruits and vegetables, which allows staff at the club to engage the youngsters in conversation about nutrition and healthy eating.
This gesture comes on the heels of Stop & Shop’s support of the Club’s annual Holiday Toy Drive and Good Cheer Dinner, which was turned into a drive-thru this past December with with Club families picking up food donated by Stop & Shop and toys compliments of Santa.
“Stop & Shop is pleased that we can again lend our support to the children and the families who take part in the fun and educational programs offered by the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic,” said Stop & Shop spokesperson Stefanie Shuman. “There’s no better day to show our love for the Club, its families and the community.”

As a leader in youth services and a pillar of the Paterson and Passaic communities for nearly 60 years, the Boys & Girls Club focuses on academics, healthy habits, and social-emotional learning.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Club continues to adapt to the needs in the community and both Paterson and Passaic Clubhouses are open for a full day of programming as schools remain closed. The Boys & Girls Club currently provides a haven for children to learn virtually, provide breakfast and lunch, offer supplemental education to combat learning loss and keep their minds and bodies strong.
