A 2-year-old girl was hit and killed by a pick-up truck while crossing Bloomfield Avenue and Grove Street with her mother Monday, the Star-Ledger reported.
The Ledger reported that after the crash, the toddler lay cradled between her mother’s legs with her eyes closed and paramedics seemed to resuscitate the child at the scene.
The child died shortly before 10 a.m. at Clara Mass Medical Center in Belleville, according to the report.
