Vehicles Stolen In Bloomfield At 7-Eleven, Beardsley Avenue: PD

During one incident, a man stole a victim's car while she was filling up her tires with air, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A pair of vehicle thefts were reported on the same day in Bloomfield earlier this month, police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:

June 9 - Officers responded to the 400-block of Beardsley Avenue on report of a stolen motor vehicle. The resident parked his white 2012 Ford E250 van in front of his residence on June 8 at approximately 10:30 p.m. When he returned on June 9 at 9:30 a.m., he discovered his vehicle was gone. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This incident is under investigation.

June 9 - Officers responded to 122 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) after getting a report about a stolen motor vehicle. The resident left her vehicle running while using the air compressor to fill up her tires. When she was along the passenger side of the vehicle, an unknown male jumped into her blue 2017 Nissan Rogue and fled with the vehicle. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This incident is under investigation. NOTE: Police released the below surveillance photo taken at the scene.
