10 Possible Shots Fired, Under Investigation In Somerset County

Authorities are investigating gunshots fired in Somerset County early Sunday morning.

MANVILLE, NJ — Authorities are investigating gunshots fired in Manville early Sunday morning.

On Sunday around 3:26 a.m., Manville Police went to the area of North 6th Avenue for a report of a man with a gun, said Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

Officers were told there were 10 possible gunshots being fired and searched the area but did not find an active shooter, said Robertson.

No injuries or property damages were reported.

Anyone with information relating to the shots fired is asked to contact the Somerset County Prosecutors Office Major Crimes Unit at 908-231-7100 or the Manville Police Department at 908-725-1900 or via the STOPit app.
