11 Baby Ducks Rescued From Storm Drain By Somerville Police

Somerville Police Lt. Anthony Brattole jumped into the storm drain to save the ducklings. See photos of the rescue:

SOMERVILLE, NJ ? Thanks to the actions of Somerville first responders 11 ducklings were rescued from a storm drain on Wednesday night.

At around 6:30 p.m. on May 3, 11 ducklings were found in the storm drain near the intersection of Grove Street and East High Street, said Somerville Police Captain Manuel Garcia.

Lt. Anthony Brattole saved the ducklings with the help of Somerville Fire Chief Joe Stitley.

"Brattole jumped into the storm drain and saved these little babies. This was done with the supervision of mama duck, who was watching from a few feet away," said Somerville Police Department.
