12 Vaccine Clinics Coming To Somerset County, Bridgewater Commons
Additionally, the county is working with school systems to hold closed pop-up clinics at their campuses. The first will be in Green Brook.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Somerset County is hosting a dozen vaccination clinics next week including walk-up at the Bridgewater Commons to get shoppers and staff.
The clinics are part of the county's goal of exceeding 70 percent of adults vaccinated by Independence Day.
"Here at the county we know that vaccinating as many people as possible is the pathway back to a full reopening. Together we can come out of this and ensure our overall success,” said Somerset County Commissioner Deputy Director Sara Sooy, who previously served on the Somerset Hills District School Board. “I’m very excited that we can partner with the Green Brook Schools to make it easier for parents to have their children vaccinated in a safe and trusted environment.”

Additionally, the county is working with school systems to hold closed pop-up clinics at their campuses. The first partner in this effort will be the Green Brook School District this coming Thursday, May 20.
"We’re doing everything we can to make getting vaccinated in Somerset County easy and convenient so we can break through 70 percent and reach as high a percentage as possible," said Commissioner Melonie Marano, a former Green Brook Mayor. "I’m excited my hometown of Green Brook is the first to host a school clinic, and also that we can be in so many diverse locations to bring the vaccine to as many people as possible."
Pop-up clinics at schools will be closed to the general public, and registration will be managed by the school districts themselves. This allows for parents to be comfortable that the school administration and nurses are involved, and that their children will be looked after before, during, and after being vaccinated.
Any school district, municipal government, large employer, house of worship, organization, or other entity interested in hosting a pop-up clinic can call the Somerset County COVID hotline at 908-231-7155 for more information.
