2 Men Kicked, Hospitalized Bound Brook Man In Assault: Cops

BOUND BROOK, NJ — Two men were charged after police say they assaulted and kicked a Bound Brook man on the ground.
Selvin Ixtabalan-Garcia, 21, of Church Street, Bound Brook, and HeinerRivera-Ramirez, 38 of Clinton Avenue, Middlesex were arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated assault, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
On April 26 at about 5 p.m., a 9-1-1 call to Bound Brook Police reported an assault in progress involving three men kicking another man in the area of East Main Street.

Police found a 38-year-old Bound Brook man lying on the ground with swollen eyes bleeding from his nose and mouth. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, said Robertson.
Detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit along with detectives from the Bound Brook Police Department conducted an investigation that identified Rivera-Ramirez and Ixtabalan-Garcia as the suspects involved in the assault, said Robertson.

Rivera-Ramirez and Ixtabalan-Garcia were found in the area and taken to Bound Brook Police Department for questioning. They were then arrested charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.
