22 West Tap & Grill Expands With New Outdoor Dining, Bar

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Martinsville native Kevin Trimarchi is on a roll with his popular restaurant 22 West Tap & Grill as he announces the opening of his expansion with more dining space and a larger parking lot.

Construction on the expanded dining area, outdoor patio and bar began in May 2018 and were completed this month.

Trimarchi opened the restaurant at 1601 Route 22 in Bridgewater in December 2016 and then purchased the neighboring half-acre lot on Thompson Avenue in October 2017. The property is being used as a parking lot with 40 extra spots. The expanded parking lot needs a bit more work before it is completed.

"I think this new expansion gives our guests an upscale dining experience. We’ve created an inside/outside feel with the brick and stone, five garage doors, three big windows, high ceilings with skylights, and the brand-new bar on our porch," said Trimarchi. "In the warmer months, guests will be able to dine and enjoy our food without the sun beating down on their faces, and they still get the warm, fresh air."

To show off the new expansion 22 West Tap & Grill will host a Thanksgiving Eve Party on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 10 p.m. All are welcome to join in celebrating Thanksgiving as well as the new restaurant’s expansion.

Trimarchi plans to use his new space for his bi-monthly wine dinners and more events such as business events, family parties, or holiday gatherings.

"The biggest benefit is now we have created a totally private dining area. We are able to close off the new addition with our Nano Wall, which is a massive seven-panel glass door that folds," Trimarchi said. "Our new space has everything we need to host private parties. Between the expanded area for dining, new bar, private bathrooms, and private entrance, we can now host parties up to 150 people."

The new addition also offers space for a stage for bands and DJs in the corner of the Garage, with room for dancing and partying.
