Alpine Business Systems Honors Ronald McDonald House
Selected as "Hero of the Month" for February

Continuing to provide support for the region’s non-profit community, Alpine Business Systems named the Ronald McDonald House of Central & Northern NJ (RMH-CNJ) as “Hero of the Month” for February 2021.
Each month Alpine staff selects a non-profit agency for support. Through employee contributions, social media outreach to clients and colleagues, and posting on www.alpinebiz.com, cash and merchandise is collected for donation. Previous recipients include Raritan Valley Community College, the Adult Day Center of Somerset County, and the Flemington Area Food Pantry.
Ronald McDonald House “is a safe haven that provides all the comforts of home, plus the compassion and hospitality of staff, volunteers, and other families — all just steps away from the hospital” in which a child is being treated.

RMH-CNJ was chosen by Alpine employee Malik Harris who explained, “My sister-in-law had a daughter who was only the 2nd child in the world to be diagnosed with an extremely rare immune-deficiency disorder. She had been to multiple hospitals and examined by many doctors, but none could determine what was causing her illness. She eventually was referred to the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital where they were able to diagnose and treat her illness.”
Harris continued, “During the course of treatment, my sister-in law gave birth to another little girl who was afflicted with the same disorder. They were able to begin her treatment right away as they knew what the issue was. The Ronald McDonald house allowed my sister-in-law and her husband to stay near the girls (who were between 1 and 2 years old at the time) during the whole ordeal. The girls made full recoveries and now live normal productive lives. Without the support from the Ronald McDonald House things may not have turned out so well.”
