The Arc of Somerset County Returns to Duke Island Park on June 6
Annual Step Up for the Arc 5K and Walk Sunday morning June 6th at Duke Island Park Welcomes Local County Musician Tommy Strazza to Perform
Bridgewater, NJ: The Arc of Somerset County is excited to announce their return to the annual "Step Up for the Arc of Somerset County 5K and Walk" event - scheduled as a hybrid event (in-person and virtual event) Sunday morning, June 6th at Duke Island Park.
Cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, this annual event is a special day that the Arc of Somerset County's children, adults, staff and family come together celebrate and advocate for inclusion and achievement in their community.
“ As we move through this pandemic, we are all anxious to get back to some normalcy. This is a great opportunity to take part in an annual event – in whatever way is most comfortable for our participants” states Lauren Frary, Executive Director for The Arc of Somerset County.

The in-person 5K begins at 8:30am through 10:00am with cash award prizes to 1st place age groups. The walk portion of the event begins at 10:15am and concludes at noon.
We are pleased to announce local musician, Tommy Strazza will be performing live music and will feature a special a sing-a-long with some of the Arc of Somerset County adults. He will be performing by the picnic grove during the walk portion of this event 10:30am-12:00pm.

Registrations must be made online- there is no same day registrations this year. Masks must be worn at all times.
“We look forward to seeing the local Somerset County community support of this important annual event with the option to also participate in a run or walk activity virtually by posting their run time, or walk photo to our event page”, states Lisa Marie Arieno, Director of Development for The Arc Foundation of Somerset County. "It is important that our community continues to show support now more than ever".
