BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Route 22 reopened early Tuesday morning after being closed in both directions near Country Club Road following a crash on Sunday, Bridgewater police said.
The highway reopened as of 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.

The intersection of Route 22 East and West at Country Club Road was still closed on Monday and expected to be closed through the evening rush hour, said Mitzak.
The closure caused traffic delays on Route 202 South and North as well. Internet and power issues were also being reported in the area and affecting the high school and middle school in town.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area until further notice and seek an alternate route.
