Camp Jotoni in Warren Seeking Local High School Volunteers

Special Needs Camp is Seeking Local H.S. Students to Help Clear the Nature Trail on the Campground for the 2021 Season Opening

Warren Twp, NJ: The Arc of Somerset County is seeking a local High School youth volunteer group for an outdoor project at Camp Jotoni located at 51 Old Stirling Rd. in Warren Twp. For over 45 years, Camp Jotoni has been a special needs summer camp for both children and adults with both mobility issues and intellectual and developmental disabilities age 5 and up.

The camp, which has been under construction this past year for 4 new ADA accessible cabins, as to which 2 out of 4 are now completed, sits on 15 acres of grounds, and is gearing up for their re-opening summer 2021 camp season, is seeking local high school volunteers for this project during the late April to Mid-May timeframe.

The project includes raking a path on a 10,000 foot long nature trail for clearance as well as placing cut tree logs to barrier the trail path from brush.
