BRIDGEWATER, NJ ? It's been two years, and Priscilla and Penelope continue to wait for their "furever" home.

The sweetest bonded pair of tabby girls are 2.5 years old and have been waiting for two years now to find their forever home, according to Bernie?s Buddies Cat Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit cat rescue started by Bridgewater local Edie Hogan.

Priscilla and Penelope were both dumped in a backyard in New Brunswick, eight hours apart. Luckily, the homeowner was a cat mom.

"Penelope and Priscilla aren't littermates but bonded quickly in their foster home and absolutely love each other. They adore Churrus treats, cuddling on the sofa with you, playing and napping in the sun on their cat tree," according to Bernie's Buddies.

The pair have been fully vetted, dewormed, spayed, and are SNAP test negative.

They are both good with other cats. Penelope likes to give little squeaks as her hello, and Priscilla needs to supervise whatever you're doing.

"Adult cats deserve a chance too: they have so much love to give and we see this in our four foster homes with our adult foster cats," according to Bernie's Buddies. "Adoption isn't just about saving a life: it's about finding a soul that was meant to meet yours. Adopt, don't shop - and never overlook an adult cat."

Bernie's Buddies is now holding all of their adoption days on Saturdays at Pet Supplies Plus in Hillsborough, starting Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon. They currently have nine young adult cats patiently waiting for adoption and six kittens expected in the next several months.
