Commemorative Bricks to Support Therapeutic Recreation
County residents can be immortalized on bricks at the ballpark.

The Somerset County Park Foundation is offering residents the opportunity to become immortalized at TD Bank Ballpark by sponsoring a brick.
The program is being done in cooperation with the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
According to a release from the county, “Foundation of Opportunities” is the 2013 Buy-a-Brick program to provide funding for the Somerset County Park Foundation Scholarship Fund for participants in the Park Commission’s Therapeutic Recreation Department.

Those participating in the program will have personalized engraved bricks that will be installed in the grand main entry plaza at the ballpark. Residents will have the chance to recognize on the bricks family members, friends, loved-ones and anyone else who has made contributions to Somerset County.
Orders that have been placed in May will be installed this summer, while 300,000 people are expected to pass through the gates of the stadium.

“The Park Foundation greatly appreciates the Freeholders' endorsement of this program that will continue to expand scholarship opportunities,” said Rocque Dameo, chair of the Foundation Board, in the release. “The Foundation is proud of the efforts of the Therapeutic Recreation Department and the fact that, annually, the Scholarship Program supports one-quarter of the participants enjoying the services of Therapeutic Recreation.”
