Construction Underway At Char's New Burger And Creamery
The new Char Burger and Creamery on Route 202 in Bridgewater is a completely new concept compared to the other 2 steakhouse locations.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Construction is now underway at the new Char Burger and Creamery at the former TD Bank on Route 202 North in Bridgewater.
"At this moment there is no official date, but we're aiming to have the doors open sometime this Spring/Summer. Looking forward to warm days on their patio with an ice cream cone in hand," said Sean Cahill of Cahill Studio, who is designing the new restaurant.
The property located next to CVS Pharmacy near the Milltown Road intersection was purchased in the spring of 2017 by owner and manager of the upscale modern Char Steakhouse, Luciano Ingrao. At the time it was anticipated the new Char Burger and Creamery would open later in the fall of 2017. (See Related: Char To Open Casual Burger And Ice Cream Joint In Bridgewater)

"This new concept will bring a fast-casual, family friendly establishment to Bridgewater. Char Burger and Creamery will focus on burgers and ice cream with a large outdoor dining area that’s sure to be a hit in the summer," Cahill said.
Char Burger and Creamery will serve burgers, hard serve and soft serve ice cream, sundaes and milkshakes, Ingrao previously said.
This location will be geared more towards families and will not have a liquor license.
In the back there will be benches and a small playground area for children to play.
"That particular area doesn't have a burger location and I thought it would be something nice for local families," Ingrao previously said. "And for all of the sports teams as well. It will be a nice area for kids to play out back while the husbands and wives have burgers and relax."
