Township to sell municipal equipment
The township is preparing to sell its old equipment at an upcoming auction being held by the county.
The council approved a resolution that allows for the sale of items that are no longer used in the township.
“We will do the auction so we get a better return,” township administrator James Naples said. “This is equipment we no longer use and are selling through auction.”
Naples said the township has seen excellent results in the past and good amounts of money coming in to Bridgewater for the sale of certain pieces.
“It is surprising what some people will pay for certain items,” he said.
The township will be auctioning two 2007 Ford Crown Victoria police cars; a 1998 Ford Expedition; a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria; a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria; a 1975 International 4700 single axle dump; a 1997 Ford Tractor; and a Pitney Bowes Mail Machine.
