County Bridge In Branchburg To Close For 6 Months
Construction will begin on Tuesday causing a portion of Station Road in Branchburg to close.

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Construction to repair the historic Somerset County Bridge over Chambers Brook in Branchburg will begin on Tuesday.
As a result, a segment of Station Road (County Route 679), north of River Road and south of Aspen Hill Road, will be fully closed to vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic for about six months.
The intersection of Station Road and River Road also will need to be closed to thru-traffic.

A detour will be posted to go around the Station Road Bridge project, using Route 22, Readington Road (CR 637), Dreahook Road/Old York Road and Route 202.
The County is utilizing State funding for the rehabilitation construction cost of this project.
