Dispensary Expands To Offer Recreational Cannabis In Raritan

RARITAN, NJ ? Valley Wellness in Raritan, a certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise, is expanding to offer adult-use cannabis sales beginning on Wednesday.

"All of the work that it took to make this happen, behind the scenes, was intense. Even though we were serving medical patients already, we still had to submit an application to the State, draft new SOP's, make it onto the Agenda, and get approved by the Commission. These are not small feats. So, today is one me and the Team will remember, no doubt!" said founder Sarah Trent, who lives in Morris County.

Medical marijuana has helped Trent immensely with her anxiety and sleep but finding a dispensary nearby was an issue. "Patients are so relieved not to be driving an hour-plus to get medicine. Our patient demographic in Somerset County is older, so reducing drive times makes a big difference. I hope that Valley Wellness is helping break the stigma around cannabis by demonstrating that a dispensary is not what some may expect," Trent told Patch.

Customers at Valley Wellness will find a wide variety of cannabis products including, flower, edibles, concentrates, pre-rolls and more available on the menu.

"We serve a wide demographic and want to ensure that we have what you are looking for," said Trent.

Patients will be prioritized, including moving to the front of the line and continued access to discounted products. The dispensary will be open for patient only hours daily from 8 to 10 a.m. and will open for adult-use sales at 10 a.m.

Free consultations are also available at the dispensary or by appointment via phone with their in-house pharmacist or staff.
