BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A portion of Route 22 East is closed in Bridgewater due to downed wires.

Bridgewater Police sent out an alert around 3 p.m. Wednesday alerting drivers of the closure on Route 22 East at the intersection of Route 202/206.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
