Family-Owned Pet Shop To Open In Branchburg Saturday

BRANCHBURG, NJ — The family-owned Barkley's Dog and Cat Supplies is expanding and opening a second location in Branchburg.

The Flemington-based pet shop took over the former Pet Valu at 3150 Route 22 in Branchburg in the ShopRite shopping center. The new store will open on Saturday at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m.

"Barkley's is celebrating its 10th anniversary and it is about time we officially expanded to service more local communities," said Branchburg store manager Dustin McCullough.

Barkley's main focus is to offer products and services for dogs and cats but McCullough said they also cater to small animal owners such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice and more.

Most custom orders are also accommodated. Barkley's also offers free local home delivery on purchases of $50 and up. Customers can stop in or call for the delivery service.

The store is also keeping and maintaining its self-serve wash station for dogs on an appointment basis.
