Firefighters Battle Patio Fire In Bridgewater
The Green Knoll Fire Department helped to extinguish the fire on Tuesday evening.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ ? Volunteer firefighters battled a patio fire on Tuesday evening in Bridgewater.
The fire was extinguished with minimal damage and the family was not displaced, according to police.
On Dec. 26, Bridgewater Township police officers and personnel of the Green Knoll Fire Department responded to a fire inside an outdoor fireplace on Reagan Drive.

When firefighters arrived, they saw a significant smoke condition coming from the fireplace, which was located in the patio area at the back of the house.
The fireplace only had gas burners and was surrounded by a glass wall, police said.

A highly burned wooden mantle from above the fireplace was removed by fire officials.
The damage was contained to the fireplace, Chief John Mitzak said.
