Former Bridgewater School Nurse Remembered For Her Volunteerism
Former Bridgewater school nurse Ann Marie (Fox) Compton of Skillman died peacefully on Feb. 4.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Former Bridgewater school nurse Ann Marie (Fox) Compton of Skillman, formerly of Hillsborough, died peacefully on Feb. 4.
Born on June 13, 1936 Compton worked as a school nurse for the Princeton, Hillsborough and Bridgewater school districts before retiring from Hamilton School in Bridgewater in 1999.
After retirement she spent her time giving back. She volunteered at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, the Hillsborough Garden Club, served as a Hospice Volunteer Companion and a volunteer for the Pediatric Aids Foundation.

She also spent many, many years serving as a Eucharistic Minister at her church, St. Charles Borromeo in Montgomery.
"Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Ann leaves behind a legacy of love, caring and compassion," according to her obituary posted by the Hillsborough Funeral Home.

She is survived by her children, John D. Compton of Flemington and Mary Compton Kositz and her husband Frank of Nazareth, PA; three grandchildren Matthew J. Snyder of Bethlehem, PA, Renee M. Keiderling of Nazareth, PA and Anthony PJ Kositz of Nazareth, PA; two great grandchildren Lydia and Luca Keiderling. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Fox of Doylestown, PA and many, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Frederic J. Compton, parents Andrew and Anna M. Fox, sisters Virginia Lembo and Lucille Castellano, brothers Andrew Fox and Raymond Fox and grandson Karl A Snyder.
Services were held this past Saturday with a funeral mass at St Charles Borromeo RC Church in Skillman. Burial was at the Bedminster Presbyterian Cemetery, in Bedminster.
