Funeral For Bridgewater Teen Will Be Private

16-year-old BRHS junior Frances Wang's "gentle character had touched the hearts of the people around her. She will be deeply missed."

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Funeral services have been set for Bridgewater-Raritan High School junior Frances Wang.

Wang, 16, of the Martinsville section of Bridgewater was reported missing Saturday morning and later found dead around 10 p.m. following a search by authorities at Chimney Rock Park. (See Related: Missing Bridgewater Teen Found Dead)

Wang was born on May 16, 2001 in New Brunswick.

"She was a talented flutist, outstanding swimmer and devoted artist. She had a passion for nature and animals. She was a trusted friend, sweet grandchild, dear sister and beloved daughter. Her gentle character had touched the hearts of the people around her. She will be deeply missed," her obituary states.

She was survived by parents Patrick and Kelly and a younger sister Iris.

Funeral services will be private.
