Heat Advisory Issued For Somerset County Through Wednesday Night
Hot temperatures, high humidity and heat indexes as high as 104 are expected in Somerset County.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Somerset County through Wednesday night due to hot temperatures and high humidity.
Residents can expect mostly sunny skies and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. on Monday. Temperatures are expected near 95 degrees with heat index values up to 104, according to the NWS.
On Tuesday, it will be another sunny and hot day with a high near 97 degrees and a heat index as high as 106. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.

Seniors and those with chronic health problems or mental health conditions are at an increased risk and should stay indoors with air conditioning.
For those working outdoors, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas.
