Snow Updates In Bridgewater: Snow Totals, DPW Status
Heavy snow conditions hit Bridgewater hard on Monday and more is expected to come Tuesday. Here's the latest:
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater residents are urged to stay home and off the roadways as snow is expected to continue Monday night and Tuesday.
"After a long night, our DPW staff is still on the road doing their best to keep up with the heavy snowfall. They are currently focused on clearing snow emergency routes and keep areas around our Emergency Service stations clear. DPW will be out on the road until all the snow is clear so we encourage you to be patient and, above all, stay safe and home," said Bridgewater Township Government.
The Police Department has not reported any major accidents. PSEG currently has less than 10 customers experiencing an outage and JCP&L has not reported any power outages.

Bridgewater-Raritan Regional schools will have an all-remote day Tuesday. Read More: Virtual Day For Bridgewater-Raritan Students Tuesday
All Raritan Valley Community College classes and offices will operate remotely on Tuesday.

Snow Totals
The National Weather Service has released some of the snow totals for Somerset County - last counted as of 6 p.m.:
- Warren - 22 inches
- Bridgewater - 20.2 inches
- Basking Ridge - 19.5 inches
- Somerville - 19 inches
- North Plainfield - 17.4 inches
- Manville - 17.3 inches
- Somerset - 17 inches
- Watchung - 15 inches
COVID Vaccine
The Somerset County Department of Health is postponing the COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) for Tuesday and moving it to Thursday due to snow. Read More: Somerset County Reschedules COVID Vaccination Clinic Due To Snow
Recycling
The severe winter storm has caused Somerset County to postpone curbside recycling pickups for Monday for portions of Bernards Township and Franklin. This will also cause delays for Bridgewater residents. Read More: Recycling Postponed, Delayed Due To Snow In Somerset County
Road Closures
Multiple roads were also closed throughout the county including Warrenville Road and Morning Glory Road in Warren, Bonnie Burn Road and Hillcrest Road in Watchung, and Morning Glory, Mountain Avenue, and Washington Avenue north of Route 22 in Green Brook.
Somerset County residents are being asked to stay off the roadways.
"For their own safety and that of our great road crews and first responders, we are asking Somerset County residents to limit traveling on the roads during this winter storm unless absolutely necessary," said Somerset County Commissioner Doug Singleterry, liaison to Public Health and Safety. "Please check on neighbors who may need assistance, though we ask that everyone continue to practice COVID safety measures when you do so."
County Services
The Office on Aging & Disability Services is temporarily closed on Tuesday. Clients and caregivers who need information and assistance should call 908-704-6346 or toll-free at 1-888-747-1122. Clients should leave a brief message with their name and phone number and staff will return calls soon as possible.
Grab and Go Lunch service is canceled for Tuesday. Clients are encouraged to use their shelf-stable meals.
Meals on Wheels will not be delivered on Tuesday. Clients are encouraged to use the frozen snow meals delivered earlier in the season. Clients who do not have frozen meals or have lost power can eat their shelf-stable or Heater Meals that were previously delivered. Directions for how to heat the meal without a power source are located on the package. Heater Meals are NOT intended for use in the microwave oven.
