Help Somerset County Musicians Perform At Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
A GoFundMe was started to help 18 students from the Somerville School of Rock House Band go on a trip of a lifetime.
SOMERVILLE, NJ ? It's the chance of a lifetime for 18 Somerset County student musicians. The students were selected to play at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on July 9th as part of a multi-state tour throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.
However, the students at the Somerville School of Rock House Band need help from the community to help them rock out.
A GoFundMe was launched by the Somerville School of Rock House Band parent association to help raise $25,000 to bus transportation, lodging, and other touring expenses.

When asked what it means to play at the Rock N? Roll Hall of Fame, one of the band members, Emily Chase, a keyboardist and vocalist in the band said, "To have this opportunity to play at one of the most iconic places for music in America, is one of the coolest things to experience ever!"
One of the lead guitarists, Nick Henderson, said, "Playing at the Rock n? Roll Hall of Fame helps me feel connected with all of the greats that have been honored there."

Each House Band member is truly thankful and excited for this honor and opportunity.
The House of Rock band is known for rocking out on the Summer Stage on Division Street or "Rockin? Around the Christmas Tree" at the annual "Somerville Holiday Jubilee" tree lighting.
They've also appeared at the annual Somerville "Girls Night Out" events or at the NJ Balloon Festival opening up for National acts like Barenaked Ladies and Todd Rundgren.
Along with donations, the band is looking for business sponsors for the tour. Sponsors will be represented in the digital programs at every Somerville School of Rock House Band Performance (as many as 50 shows per year), or choose a higher-tier level of sponsorship which provides advertisement for the business on tour T-shirts and the Sponsorship Advertising Banner that is displayed at all shows.
