Restoration Not Expected For Days As 3K Lose Power In Bridgewater
Multiple reports of downed trees, wires and fires were reported throughout the township on Tuesday after Tropical Storm Isaias came through.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Tropical Storm Isaias has caused thousands of township residents to lose power and trees and wires to come down across the township on Tuesday. Restoration is not expected for days.
PSE&G is reporting 2,806 residents in Bridgewater are without power as of 6:30 p.m. Power is expected to restored by Thursday.
JCP&L is reporting 316 Bridgewater residents are without power. A restoration time has not been set by JCP&L.

There is a total of 14,168 PSE&G customers in Somerset County without power and 21,648 JCP&L customers in the county without power as of 6:30 p.m.
During the storm, several fires were reported including a transformer fire that caused a portion of Route 22 in Bridgewater to close Tuesday. Read More: Transformer Fire Closes Route 22 In Bridgewater

Another transformer fire was reported around Partridge Drive. And a wire and tree fire was reported in the area of Byrd Avenue and Victor Street.
Police listed roads that were impacted as a result of the storm including:
- Tower Road
- Birch Hill Road
- Emerald Trail
- Killarney Street
- Old York Road
- Bradley Lane
- Charlotte Drive
- Candlewick Lane
- Meadow Road
- Stony Brook Road
- Eisenhower Road
- Foothill Rd near Mine Road
- Frohlin Drive
- Vosseller Ave near Ceadercrest Road
- Croyden Rd near Carteret Road
"The Bridgewater Police Department and all Bridgewater Fire Departments are responding to multiple reports of trees and wires down. Do not attempt to drive over downed wires. Do not drive around barricades in the roadway!" police said in an alert to residents around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

A flash flood watch, tornado watch, and tropical storm warning were issued for Somerset County on Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Isaias.
As a result of the storm, the New Jersey MVC announced through their website that all agency locations, including Somerville, were closed Tuesday. Somerset County canceled recycling for the Sunset Lake section of the township due to the storm, it will resume on Wednesday morning.
