Levitt and Walker were among four candidates vying for the two, three-year seats. The other two candidates are Scott Mihalick and John-Paul Levin.
"I'm thrilled and grateful that the people of Bridgewater have confidence in me to continue to work hard for our schools and our town. I'm proud of the clean campaign I ran focusing on ideas and information, not disparaging others with lies and distortion. I am committed to remaining open-minded and doing my best to serve the entire town, including those who voted for me and those who did not. I hope more residents can stay engaged in the process and we can all work together to build on our excellent schools," Levitt said.
"As I start my term, the main focus will obviously be continuing to ensure quality education during the pandemic and addressing all the challenges that have arisen. The next pressing issue will be hiring a new superintendent for the district. I’m excited to be part of the process and hopeful we can find a candidate who will do great things for Bridgewater-Raritan," Levitt said.
There were also two unopposed seats. Chingchaun "Jean" Lee ran unopposed for the one, one-year unexpired term. Lucretia "Lucy" Sandler ran unopposed for the one, three-year seat representing Raritan.
