Loaded 'Ghost Gun' Found, 3 Charged In Warren: Police

The vehicle that was stopped was found to have a stolen license plate, said authorities.

WARREN, NJ ? Three people were charged after police found a loaded "ghost gun" following a traffic stop in Warren, said Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald.

On Thursday at around 3:30 p.m., a Warren Township Police Officer stopped a vehicle, driven by Tristine J. Fleetwood, 19, of Seaford, DE, on Hillcrest Road near Interstate 78.

During the stop, officers found the car had a stolen license plate. Police also found that Javon E. Singletary, 18, of Phillipsburg, and a 17-year-old male from Phillipsburg, had a loaded handgun, described as a suspected "ghost gun," said McDonald.

A ghost gun is an unregulated, unserialized, and untraceable firearm.

The juvenile was also found to have a high-capacity magazine, said authorities.

Fleetwood was charged with receiving stolen property(disorderly persons offense), and released on her own recognizance.

Singletary was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun(second-degree) and taken to Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.

The juvenile was charged with a juvenile delinquency complaint for unlawful possession of a handgun(second-degree) and unlawful possession of a high-capacity magazine(fourth-degree). The juvenile was taken to Middlesex County Youth Detention Center pending a family court first appearance.
