Local Acura Dealers Take Customers For A Ride
Bridgewater Acura John Neals You Work For Us ....

First Reported : Google News
Bridgewater NJ – Tis' the season to be jolly with the economy seemingly robust in NJ. With so many options to spend money and treat yourself these days, a new car might be on your shopping list, and then ... reality sets in.
You head to a car dealership with images in your head of driving away in that nice new car you've been dreaming about. You can't wait to outdo your neighbors and show your new ride to your friends.
But soon, that smile turns into a frown when you enter that dealership in NJ. You hear over your shoulder, “Hello! Welcome to our amazing car lot. The slick salesperson quickly sizes you up like you're there to buy an insignificant $50 widget.
Most sticker prices start out at around $26,000 and go up from there. It's no small purchase, and that's what's so confusing – dealerships haven't changed the car buying experience for New Jersey drivers since the 1970s. The whole process is still cloaked in secrecy and some buyers call into question all the smoke-and-mirrors.
In the upscale area of Bridgewater, NJ, is Bill Vincent Acura on Route 22. It was surprising to visit that dealership and have to wait at the reception desk while the Acura sales team was huddled around a outside saleman who was selling counterfeit Rolex watches and other brand name knockoffs of clothing, shirts, etc.
One could draw the conclusion that a visit to a dealership to spend tens of thousands of dollars turns rather shocking to find the sales team projecting an image that could be fake to entice you into believing how well a sales-team member is doing.
That was the beginning of a miserable experience, but I suppose everyone at times might run into a hiccup. So, what would happen if we tried another Acura dealership in another county of New Jersey?
Well, a visit to Open Road Acura in East Brunswick netted almost the same results -- the car we were interested in was just sold, but how about this one ... Hey we can order in one.
My suggestion is stay away from buying an Acura in NJ ...
