Man Wanted On Car Burglary Charges In Raritan
The Elizabeth man was charged after police say he followed a woman from a bank to Janssen Pharmaceuticals where he smashed her car window.
RARITAN, NJ ? An Elizabeth man is wanted on car burglary charges in Raritan.
The Raritan Borough Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Nicholas Florez-Sanchez, 27, of Elizabeth for burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools, and criminal mischief as a result of a motor vehicle burglary that happened on May 25 at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, said Raritan Police Sgt. Everett Holt.
The victim reported that a window on her Kia Sportage had been smashed and she was missing $700 in cash and property.

Extensive investigative work by the Criminal Investigation Division found that the victim had
been followed to Janssen Pharmaceuticals after conducting a monetary transaction at a bank in
Somerville, said Holt.
After the victim returned to her office, her vehicle was burglarized a short time later.

Through various investigative means including the reviewing of surveillance footage and cell
phone records, Sanchez was developed as a suspect, said Holt.
Sanchez was being investigated by the Piscataway Police Department and South Plainfield Police Department for similar incidents and they helped in his identification, said Holt.
"We would like to thank both agencies for their assistance in the investigation," said Holt." We would like to remind our citizens and visitors that it is imperative that they remove all valuable belongings from their vehicle to reduce the chance of becoming a burglary victim."
