The Midland School is very excited to welcome Amanda Santos as the new school music teacher. Brought up a classical violinist, Amanda attended Westminster Choir College and received an undergrad and master's degree in voice. Her music background is quite eclectic. In her spare time, Amanda also has a career as an opera singer. She has taught music in a variety of settings, from teaching in her home private studio, to public school general music and even as a college professor. Amanda said “I believe music is the key to tapping into the exceptional student's potential and I have seen incredible progress using music as a tool for students of all abilities”.

Amanda currently lives in Lawrenceville with her husband, three children, two cats, and a dog. Amanda shares that her oldest son Charlie has Angelman Syndrome, so she can relate firsthand to the parents at Midland. Amanda adds, “I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful school, and to be making music with such inspirational students”!

Midland is very lucky to have a very experienced, passionate and committed staff member join our exceptional team!
