Midnight Manhunt With Choppers, K-9 Nabs 2 In Somerset County

Two people were caught following a manhunt overnight. Manville Police and Somerset County Prosecutor's Office are investigating.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — An overnight manhunt involving state helicopters and K-9 dogs ended with two people being caught by police, Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Spokesman Frank Roman said.

Around midnight in the area of Lincoln Avenue in Manville, police sent out helicopters and dogs to chase and catch people on foot.

It is unclear what charges were filed and why the police were chasing the two people, Roman said.

"There is no threat to the public. Police have two people in custody," said Roman.
