Pole Down Near Route 22, 480 Without Power In Branchburg

BRANCHBURG, NJ — A pole is down near Route 22 and more than 480 Branchburg residents are without power after a severe thunderstorm passed through the area Friday morning.

North Branch Volunteer Fire Company reported around 11 a.m. that a pole is down near Route 22 in Branchburg.

JCP&L is also reporting 485 residents off Ridge Road near Route 22 are without power. Power is expected to be restored as of 1:30 p.m., the power company reports as of 11:20 a.m.

Hillsborough also has about 30 residents without power, according to PSE&G.

A severe thunderstorm warning had been issued by the National Weather Service for 16 New Jersey counties including Somerset.
