Secret Service Pays $34K For Toilets At Trump's Golf Club: Report

The Secret Service is reportedly spending $34,140 to rent portable toilets in Bedminster, where Donald Trump is staying for the summer.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — The Secret Service is reportedly paying just over $34,000 to rent portable toilets in Bedminster, where former President Donald Trump is staying for the summer, according to federal data obtained by The Daily Beast.

The rental will run through Sept. 30 and is being contracted out from Imperial Restrooms of Saugerties, New York. This works out to roughly $8,500 per month.

Trump left his private club in Mar-a-Largo in Palm Beach, Florida and flew up to his golf club off Lamington Road in Bedminster in mid-May, where he will stay through the early fall. Read More: Trump's Back In NJ, And Here For The Summer

This isn't the first time expenses charged to Secret Service raised eyebrows. In September, it was discovered that Trump's luxury resorts, including his golf club in Bedminster, charged the U.S. government more than $1.1 million in private transactions since he took office, according to a Washington Post report.

The transactions, which were revealed after the Washington Post filed a public-records lawsuit, included more than $21,800 in Secret Service charges to rent rooms while at Trump's golf club in Bedminster even though the club was closed for the coronavirus pandemic, according to the report.
