NEW JERSEY – A severe thunderstorm warning was issued in 10 New Jersey counties on Tuesday night.
The severe thunderstorms were expected to hit New Jersey before 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. There is a chance that the storms could come later, and before midnight.

- Tuesday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 1am. Low around 40. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph.
- Wednesday night: A slight chance of showers before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradual clearing toward daybreak, with a low around 34. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
