As Administrator, Mahr is responsible for the day-to-day operation and supervision of county departments and projects, implementing policies set by the Board of County Commissioners, and representing the Commissioners in internal and external matters.

Mahr is the immediate past president of the New Jersey League of Municipalities and has held economic development posts in Jersey City and Roselle. Prior to assuming the post as Administrator she was employed by DMR Architects and served as mayor of Fanwood since 2004.

“Administrator Mahr hit the ground running when she was appointed Deputy Administrator late in 2020, despite the problems caused by the pandemic," said Kathryn Mantel, co-chair of the Somerset County ELC. “Since that time, she has provided strong leadership for county departments and has proven that she is an innovator and strong leader.”
