Somerset County Cancels July 4th Fireworks Again Due To COVID-19
Somerset County canceled 3 of its spring-summer events: Arbor Day Give-Away, Rose Day Festival and the Fourth of July celebration for 2021.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — For the second year in a row, the Somerset County Park Commission is canceling three of its annual spring-summer events: Arbor Day Give-Away and the Rose Day Festival held at Colonial Park, and the Fourth of July celebration for 2021.
All of the events will be postponed until 2022.
"The Leisure Service Committee has evaluated the venues and the overall health risk to residents, plus the amount of time it takes to pre-plan these events, and has decided that it would be in the public's best interest to postpone the events until 2022," said Somerset County Commissioner Paul Drake.
