Somerset County's 4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Canceled

Somerset County's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there is another way you can celebrate Independence Day.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.

Although Somerset County's fireworks are canceled Hillsborough is still offering a local-level celebration.

What: Hillsborough's 250th Independence Day Celebration and Family Fun Day
Where: Auten Road Intermediate School, 281 Auten Road, Hillsborough
When: Saturday, June 26 from 5 to 10 p.m.

Hillsborough is 250 years old and is celebrating the township's independence day. There will be live music from The Frontiers: A Journey Tribute Band, inflatable games and attractions, food tent and ice cream trucks, and fireworks.

A free shuttle will be offered from Hillsborough High School and Hillsborough Middle School to the event beginning at 5 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, June 27.
