Somerville MVC Closed As Tropical Storm Isaias Approaches
The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission won't open any locations today as Tropical Storm Isaias is expected to impact the area.
SOMERVILLE, NJ — The Somerville Motor Vehicle Commission location will be closed Tuesday, and it won't be the only agency to keep its doors — and windows — closed.
The New Jersey MVC announced through their website that all agency locations will be closed Tuesday as Tropical Storm Isaias is expected to impact the area, bringing heavy rains and possible flooding.
In Somerset County, a tropical storm warning is currently in effect through 4 p.m. Tuesday.

On Monday night Gov. Phil Murphy issued a statewide state of emergency in preparation for the storm, effective as of 5 a.m. Tuesday.
