Somerville Toastmasters Club Welcomes the RVCC Community

Somerville Toastmasters is pleased to spotlight its Treasurer, Sharon Rodden. Sharon is featured in Raritan Valley Community Colleges Artist Series 2021, available on March 12 and thereafter! This Series highlights and honors performing arts work by unique artists, including both students and professors. This year’s Artist Series will display Sharon’s work, embracing the importance of exercise and movement, a section for seniors to take a chair class, and modern dance choreography about life and aging. The Series is developed in the Dance Program’s Ensemble class and is distributed to seniors at various local clubs and centers.

Sharon is studying for her Associates Degree in Fine Arts through RVCC’s Dance Program. This highly-regarded, fast-paced program is known for its extraordinary teachers and extremely well- rounded curriculum. She has taken ballet, modern, jazz, choreography, eurhythmics, anatomy, improvisation and composition.

Sharon’s passion to pursue RVCCs Dance Program originated from her teaching of seniors and special needs populations through exercise, emphasizing the importance of functional movement. She is a certified personal trainer through the outstanding “Fitness For You” gym, previously “Healthy U”, located in Whitehouse Station, NJ.

Somerville Toastmasters graciously extends a welcome to the local community at Raritan Valley Community College to join in its meetings. The club encourages people of all backgrounds to participate in achieving personal and professional goals. Stretch your leadership skills, speech deliverance, and even learn methods to successfully tackle any kind of speaking situation.
