Starbucks, Aldo Closes In Bridgewater Commons
Vacancies are becoming more prevalent at the mall. Bridgewater Commons has put strategic and aggressive leasing efforts into place.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Take a stroll through Bridgewater Commons and one can not help but notice widespread vacancies, which have only been exasperated by the coronavirus pandemic.
Most recently Starbucks closed up shop on the main level of the Bridgewater Commons but will remain open at The Village at Bridgewater Commons.
Aldo is also closing down its location on the main level. The shoe store is currently holding final sales with everything set to go including furniture and fixtures.

"Today's changing retail environment, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, is causing some national brands to close select brick-and-mortar locations and shift their national strategies," said Bridgewater Commons' Senior General Manger Troy Fischer.
Within the past year, Bridgewater Commons saw a number of stores close including Disney, Lord & Taylor, Godiva, and Justice.

Despite the closures, Fischer said thanks to "continued strategic and aggressive leasing efforts" they have been able to attract new retailers and novel food and beverage concepts to open at Bridgewater Commons.
"We look forward to sharing those names in the coming months," said Fischer.
Additionally, the mall recently launched Community Hub, a new special events space for visitors to experience culture and diversity, share ideas, collaborate with friends and have fun.
Bridgewater Commons is also planning upcoming happenings such as activations presented by The Children's Museum, the Somerset Hope and Healing Program and many more.
