Township Improving Dangerous Crim Intersection

A retaining wall will be built in the area.

Following an agreement with a nearby homeowner, the council has approved a resolution concerning constructing a retaining wall at the intersection of Mountain Top and Crim roads.

The purpose of the retaining wall is to improve site distance at what the township has called a “dangerous intersection.”

Township administrator James Naples said the retaining wall will be located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Mountain Top and Crim roads.

“It is absolutely intended to improve driver safety in this area,” he said.

After finalizing an agreement with the homeowner in the area to obtain an easement for this retaining wall, the township has agreed to install a Versa-Lok retaining wall, the specific kind required by the homeowner.

Versa-Lok is the brand name of the wall that will be installed.

“The property owner has requested this specific type,” Naples said.

Naples said they are confident this wall will fit aesthetically in the neighborhood and be of sufficient quality.

The township will now go out to bid for construction of the wall.
