Valentine's Day Drive-By Scavenger Hunt Set For Somerset County

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Somerset County area families have the opportunity to celebrate Valentine's Day in a socially-distanced way with "The Heart Hunt, A Drive-By Adventure."

Hosted by Branchburg mother and dance and theater teacher Jaime Marie DelRocco and her business The Adventures Of Jamerz And B, the free drive-by hunt will be held on Feb. 13 to 14 for families in Branchburg, Hillsborough, Somerville, Bridgewater, Raritan, Bound Brook and Manville.

Families interested in participating can send an email to jamerzandb@gmail.com with their street name and town by Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. Families are asked to get creative and make as many hearts as they would like to place on their windows, doors or anywhere visible outside.

A map will then be posted on The Adventures Of Jamerz And B by Friday, Feb. 12. Then families can drive around the towns to hunt for hearts. Families must stay in their cars and not enter people's properties.

Families are invited to share the hearts they create and post on social media using the hashtag #jamerzandb. The family who makes the most creative hearts wins a prize.

This is the 8th scavenger hunt DelRocco has organized since the pandemic hit. With a two-year-old at home, DelRocco needed to get creative to keep her son entertained.

Under her business name, The Adventures Of Jamerz And B, DelRocco began rolling out children's videos where she offered DIY arts and crafts families could do together at home and storytelling videos and now scavenger hunts.
