4 NJ Billionaires Make Forbes's Richest List

NEW JERSEY — Forbes estimates that Two Sigma Investments CEO John Overdeck is worth $6.5 billion, making him the richest New Jersey resident and among the 100 richest people in America.

Forbes released its 2020 Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans Tuesday, and four New Jersey billionaires made the cut. Overdeck was ranked 95th.

Sheldon Lavin, who owns the OSI Group, is new to the list this year. The other three were on the list last year, and no one dropped off. Overdeck and Rocco Commisso have seen their net worth increase since last year, while Peter Kellogg has since his net worth drop since last year's list, according to Forbes.

Amazon's Jeff Bezos leads the list with a net worth of $179 billion. Microsoft's Bill Gates is second at $111 billion and Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is third at $85 billion.

President Donald Trump landed at No. 339 following a $600 million loss in net worth, Forbes said. He's still worth $2.5 billion.

The rest of the New Jersey residents on the list, with their ranking and net worth, are listed below:

115. Rocco Commisso, $5.5 billion: Commisso founded the New York-based Mediacom Cable Company.

278. Peter Kellogg, $3 billion: Kellogg sold brokerage house Spear, Leeds & Kellogg to Goldman Sachs for $6.5 billion in 2000. He had been at the firm since 1973, and owned it for several years.

278. Sheldon Lavin, $3 billion: Lavin owns the OSI Group, which started out as the original fresh hamburger supplier to McDonald's. While still supplying McDonald’s with most of its meat products, OSI also produces plant-based burgers for Impossible Foods.
