Carli Lloyd Offered Spot On NFL Team's Preseason Roster: Report
An unnamed NFL team has offered the World Cup winner a spot on their roster for their final preseason game, according to Fox Sports.

DELRAN, NJ — One of the biggest news stories of the NFL preseason was made by a World Cup champion from South Jersey. Carli Lloyd turned heads when she nailed a 55-yard field goal at Philadelphia Eagles training camp. Heads were turned, and an offer was reportedly made.
An unnamed NFL team actually offered Lloyd a spot on their roster for their final preseason game on Thursday night, Lloyd’s trainer James Galanis told Fox Sports this week. He said Lloyd had to turn the offer down because the U.S. women’s national team will be playing Portugal in a friendly Thursday night in Philadelphia. He also said she wouldn’t just jump into playing football with no prior training. Still, Galanis said it’s an offer the 37-year-old Delran native is considering.
"@CarliLloyd is the real deal. ... The Bears, they need to do something. The Bears need a kicker, that's the only weak spot they have on their team. Call up Carli." — @criscarter80 pic.twitter.com/uOTiyOewOU

Even without training, Lloyd has the power to do something that can prove valuable to a lot of NFL teams. For those who haven’t seen the kick, you can see it again below.

Her kick was nine yards shy of the NFL record of 64 yards set by Denver’s Matt Prater in 2013. Granted that was during a regular season game, and kicking is much different in a game situation.
Lloyd is a proven athlete who has done it all in the soccer world. In addition to her two World Cup titles, she has scored 114 goals in international competitions. She also already plays for a professional team as a member of Sky Blue FC in the National Women's Soccer League.
