Cinnaminson Boys, Girls Soccer Teams Seize First Place
Both the Cinnaminson High School boys and girls soccer teams currently sit in first place in their respective divisions.
CINNAMINSON, NJ — Both the Cinnaminson High School boys and girls soccer teams sit atop the standings a couple of weeks into the season.
The boys are in first place in the Burlington County Scholastic League’s Patriot Division with an overall record of 5-1, a conference record of 4-1 and a division record of 2-0, according to standings posted on nj.com.
The girls are in first place in the Burlington County Scholastic League’s Liberty Division with an overall record of 6-1, a conference record of 3-0 and a division record of 3-0, according to standings posted on nj.com.

The boys opened the season with wins over Cherry Hill West, Burlington Township and Pemberton.
They suffered their first setback in a 2-1 extra time loss to Northern Burlington on Sept. 11, according to nj.com. Leo Dolan forced the extra period when he tied the game for Cinnaminson in the second half, but Northern Burlington escaped with the game-winner in the first extra time period.

The Pirates rebounded with two straight wins, including a 5-1 win over Holy Cross Prep behind a pair of goals from C.J. Gee, according to nj.com. They also beat Palmyra, 3-0.

Since a loss to Williamstown on Sept. 5, the girls have won five straight, beginning with wins over Kingsway and Northern Burlington. On Sept. 11, the Pirates scored in the second half for a 1-0 victory over Moorestown.

Sarah Passey, Emma Fuegel and Simone Pacetti scored in Cinnaminson’s 3-0 win over Bordentown on Sept. 16, according to nj.com.
Pacetti, Meredith Updike and Emma Karch scored in the Pirates’ 3-0 victory over Burlington Township.
